Canada’s Trade Publication Closes

Before going onlline, Toys & Games Magazine ran as a print publication for 37 yearsAfter serving the Canadian toy and youth products industry for 40-plus years, Toys & Games Magazine has closed its doors.

The magazine was founded in the 1970s as a print publication targeting the needs and businesses of industry members in Canada’s billion dollar-plus toy trade.

In 2010, publisher Playtonic Communications discontinued the long-running print edition, converting Toys & Games to a strictly online platform located at

Over the following six years, Canada’s toy professionals made T & G Online their go-to site for news, event coverage, profiles and new product info. The site also attracted readers — both trade and consumer — from over 130 countries around the world.

Although T & G will stop publishing new material, viewers may access archived articles, event dates, and photo galleries until approximately March 2017.
