The National Parenting Product Awards (NAPPA), one of North America’s longest running awards programs, has named product created by two Canadian firms to its list of Fall 2016 winners.
Toronto’s Teach My Toddler Inc., now in business for almost a decade and a multi award winner, picked up a NAPPA award for its Teach My Kindergartener Learning Kit Deluxe. Designed for kids, four and over, the kit promotes one-on-one learning of concepts and skills, such as time, school readiness and provides a head start for kindergarten, in just 20 minutes a day.
Meanwhile, Montreal-based Senseez Pillows Inc. was recognized for its Vibrating Pillow, a lightweight, “fun-shaped” vinyl vibrating cushion that offers a gentle sensation when they are sat on or squeezed. NAPPA testers described the product as ideal for soothing and calming special needs kids, such as those with ADHD.
A go-to resource for parents for over 25 years, NAPPA tests a wide range of items — toys to new mom products and electronic gadgets. Submitted products go before a team of independent expert judges and family testers who thoroughly assess items for elements, such as entertainment, appeal, safety, educational worth, age-appropriateness and lasting play value.
