Germany’s Staedtler has been making creative products like its famous Fimo modelling clay line for 50 years.
In celebration of this milestone anniversary, the Nürnburg-based supplier, which still manufactures 80 percent of its lineup in Germany, is launching several new kits in both segments (Form & Play, and Create & Play) of its Fimo Kids line.
In its Form & Play collection, Staedtler introduces two new figure-making kits: Monsters, and Mermaids. Each themed kit comes with four Fimo clay blocks in assorted colours, a modeling stick, child-friendly instructions for making appropriate figures, and an illustrated background-scene for extended play. (Once formed and hardened in a low-heat oven, figures are sturdy enough to stand up to repeated use.)
Staedtler’s Create & Play segment was also expanded with two giant themed birthday boxes: Pirate, and Princess. Each collection contains all the supplies, such as modelling clay and tools, crayons, hats and accessories, needed to keep several kids busy and entertained for hours.
All new kits are available in a variety of challenge levels, which speak to ability not age, and feature Fimo Kids’ signature safe and soft clay designed to develop a variety of skills in young modellers.
