Like it or not, staying on top of trends and market influences is a necessary but often difficult part of doing business in today’s toy industry.
Recognizing that fact, Spielwarenmesse, organizer of the 2016 German International Toy Fair (January 27-February 1), is dedicating new focus and floor space to making trend spotting an easier task for retailers who visit next year’s show in Nürnberg.
The Fair’s popular TrendGallery will expand to house over 1,000 square feet featuring displays of innovative products reflecting global trends. Plus, visitors can take advantage of an informative program of live events, including presentations by a team of ten industry professionals.
Commissioned by Spielwarenmesse, this team of well-known experts will travel the world for the next several months to gather data and identify important trends and new directions affecting markets in Japan, Germany, U.S., India, Italy, Spain, U.K., Hong Kong, and Poland. The experts will present their findings to TrendGallery audiences each day throughout the 2016 Fair.
“The trend scouts come from a total of nine different countries and are experienced toy experts. They are familiar with contemporary tastes and know exactly which products will achieve success in which markets,” explained a Spielwarenmesse spokesman.
