After making a splash with its new Harry Potter puzzle line in Canada and the U.S., Quebec’s Wrebbit 3D is busy casting the same spell over fans in Europe where J.K. Rowling’s young wizard is just as beloved.
Earlier this week, Wrebbit 3D debuted its Hogwarts Collection in Germany at Spiel Essen 2016, a toy and game fair for consumers.
Since opening on October 13, Wrebbit President Jean Théberge says the region’s puzzle lovers have been flocking to the Canadian company’s exhibit where the full range of its Wizarding World line is on display. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities, including some hands-on puzzling.
Like all Wrebbit 3D puzzles, the Wizarding World/Hogwart Collection is made in Canada using Wrebbit’s signature tight-fit, foam-backed puzzle pieces. The line, which focuses on famous sections of Hogwarts castle, initially launched in North America last February with the introduction of the 850-piece Great Hall. Wrebbit soon added a second model, the 875-piece Astronomy Tower. When combined, the two puzzles create a stunning 1,725-piece 3D Harry Potter universe spanning 94 x 44.5 x 48.3 cm (37 x 17.5 x 19 in.).
The line has expanded again to include the 460-piece Hogwarts Express Train, the 425-piece Diagon Alley and most recently a series of 500-piece 2D poster puzzles featuring favourite characters from both Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts.
