California-based The National Parenting Center has named two GTA firms to its Fall 2016 list of Seal of Approval winners. This year’s list included 60 products ranging from toys and games to mobile apps and kids furniture.
Toronto’s Spin Master Ltd. picked up an SOA in the Crafts & Kits category for its Pottery Cool Studio, a contents-packed set that comes with wheel, clay and tools. Meanwhile, TCG Toys took home two SOAs in the Games category for its Peppa Pig’s Muddy Puddles Memory Game, and the Peppa Pig Treasure Hunt Game, a fun, bingo-like game for preschoolers.
Created in 1990, The National Parenting Center’s Seal of Approval program identifies the finest products and services being marketed to North American families.
Before handing out its bi-annual awards (Spring and Fall), TNPC puts all submitted products through a multi-step testing process. Testing is done at TNPC’s own facility and is carried out over an eight-week period by a contingent of parents and kids. All products are evaluated for a variety of criteria, including desirability, sturdiness and interactive stimulation.
