TIA Report Looks at STEM Trends

Fisher-Price contributed to 2016's hot STEM category with Code-a-Pillar

Under a partnership with TrendHunter.com, a leading trend report and consumer insight platform, the U.S. Toy Industry Association has just released a new review of the hot STEM/STEAM category.

The 67-page report, which is available at no cost to TIA/CTA members, is the fourth in a recent series of monthly reports created by TrendHumter.com for the TIA.

This latest release for August gives an in-depth look at STEM/STEAM trends that influence childhood education, such as augmented education, interpersonal play, robotic education, and combined learning.

The report also examines current education practices, as well as specific products and tips that can be used as aids in encouraging learning through play.

Like earlier reports — the first was released in May — the August report is broken down into three sections: consumer insights, clustered lists, and specific examples. “These reports are meant to give insight into toy-related topics and patterns in corresponding industries to increase inspiration for ideas,” said a TIA spokesman.
