A baby fire-breathing plush dragon was just one of many new products on display at Hasbro Canada’s recent sneak peek of their holiday toy line-up.

The early-summer media event, #HasbroHouse, was staged in a charming vintage house — Hasbro’s showroom for one day only — located in Toronto’s toney Beach Village community.

Along with Torch the baby dragon — the latest intro to Hasbro’s FurReal Friends line — the June 21st preview featured dozens of new toys and games. (All are slated for release at various dates throughout the coming months.) And as the event name suggests, there was something for every member of the household, ranging from learning toys for toddlers to adult-collector-style Marvel Legends gear.

While Hasbro routinely adds to most of its lines each year, this week’s preview highlighted Q3 and Q4 introductions to over 20 best-selling brands and properties, including: My Little Pony, Baby Alive, Disney Princess, Gaming, Sesame Street, Play Doh, Transformers, Marvel Avengers and Star Wars figure collections, and Nerf.

A leader in creating classic family games, Hasbro is introducing a new version of Trivial Pursuit, this fall. Titled simply the “2000s Edition”, this game tests players’ knowledge on a wide variety of 21st-century subjects.

A new Monopoly title, Ultimate Banking is also launching. Designed for today’s tech-savvy youngsters, eight and over, Monopoly Ultimate Banking features cashless game play, electronic transactions and an electronic touch-pad unit that lets players instantly make their fortunes.

Under its Sesame Street educational line, the adorable Elmo gets an update with Love 2 Learn Elmo. Designed to work with an app and the first model to free-sit, Elmo offers toddlers loads of games, activities and learning content and allows parents to customize material.

Several new models, such as the Mega Mastodon, join Hasbro’s action-packed Nerf blaster line. This fully motorized behemoth is the brand’s highest-capacity blaster, featuring a rotating drum that sends 24 foam darts whistling through the air in seconds.

And finally, under its fabulous Transformers Titans Return line, Hasbro introduces the incredible Titan Masters Fortress Maximus set. This action-packed activity set features the line’s largest-ever figure that converts from robot to city to battle station.
