Bring Your Own Book, Gamewright’s new game for kids, 12 years old and over, is already garnering praise from organizations like Parents’ Choice Foundation and American Mensa.

Designed to develop language, vocabulary, and imagination, BYOB promotes books and literacy as a source of fun.

Using their favourite book, players must quickly skim the pages to find the most entertaining phrase in response to prompts, such as “a ridiculous tabloid headline” or “dating advice”.

Whether paging through a well-loved cookbook or a best-selling YA novel, players race against time and their opponents to come up with the best phrase that most pleases the judge.

Packaged for portability, this quick-paced, easy-to-learn game for three or more players, will change the way readers look at their books. It comes with 100 prompt cards (players can also create their own prompt cards), sand timer and rules.
