During the Spring 2016 TaG Central Fair, about 30 members of the Neighbourhood Toy Stores of Canada gathered for a brief AGM that also incorporated an informal awards ceremony.
NETS is a nationwide membership organization of retailers and suppliers serving Canada’s specialty market.
Each year at its AGM, the organization hands out several honours, including Gold Star Product Awards, as well as those for Supplier of the Year, and Retailer of the Year.
This year, the 2015 SOTY was presented to Linda Stortz, of Toronto’s Stortz Toys, while the 2015 ROTY award went to Teresa Johansson, of Port Moody, B.C.’s Village Toy Shop.
And although the organization revealed its 2015 Gold Star winners last fall when publishing its annual consumer catalogue, NETS President Dianne Mattice also officially presented plaques to representatives from Do-Gree Fashions Ltd., Outtathebox Sales & Marketing, Outset Media, Playwell Canada, Roylco Ltd., and Stortz & Associates.
