In a recent deal with Toronto-based The Licensing Shop, Quebec’s Imports Dragon has been named Canadian distributor for Moose Toys’ best-selling garbage-themed collectible line, Trash Pack.
The line, which was launched last year by Australia’s Moose Toys, sold over four million units worldwide in just a few months. Tapping into young boys’ continued love affair with everything gross and slimy, sales are expected to reach 100 million units by the close of 2012.
Trash Pack features over 100 squishy characters — a.k.a. Trashies — with names like Rancid Milk and Putrid Pizza and offers five different character assortments, including common, rare, ultra rare, glow-in-the-dark and limited edition. (Some assortment packs may contain hidden Trashies.) Each character comes with a garbage can and collector’s booklet. Accessories, including a collector’s poster outlining games, are available.
