For five weeks, beginning February 13, Wendy’s Restaurants is partnering with Creativity for Kids in a promotion designed to encourage families to spend time together. Creativity for Kids, a leading manufacturer of kids’ craft kits, has a well-established reputation for creating projects that kids and parents can enjoy together, while Wendy’s is famous for support of kids’ causes around the world through its Dave Thomas Foundation.
At each of the more than 6,500 Wendy’s North American locations — until March 18 — kids will receive a mini CFK craft kit with every Wendy’s Kids’ Meal purchase. Five kits are available, including Fantasy Friend, Perfect Tracer, Monster Lab, 3D Drawing Activity Book and Character Creator.
Within each packaged kit, kids will find a discount coupon that’s good for 20 percent off the purchase of a full-size CFK kit. The coupons, which bear a promotion code, are redeemable only online at the CFK website until April 30, 2012. (Orders are being filled by Shopatron-particpating retailers.)
Because each Wendy’s location serves thousands of families every week, the additional brand awareness for CFK is expected to be significant, says a CFK spokesman. Retailers lucky enough to operate a store in the vicinity of a Wendy’s restaurant might want to prepare for the increased interest by relocating CFK product up front and central.
